Describe a review you read about a product or service.
You should say:
Where you read the reviewWhat the product or service wasWhat information the review gave about the product or serviceAnd explain what you did as a result of reading this review.
A review I read a few years back was about a software solution, in fact, I read more than just one.
Back then, I was assigned the task of giving a few PR tool alternatives for our team to distribute our content such as press release, whitepapers, and blogs, so I headed to some software review websites like G2 and Capterra as my first step.
On the Capterra website, I came across the reviews of a PR service provider called Cision.
On this review website, they have a few sections ranging from Basic Information, Pricing, Features, to Alternatives, Comparisons, and Reviews.
Under the Basic information section, they listed vendor introduction in words and videos, a checklist of their Deployment and Support, which includes Deployment type, support, training information, and contact details.
In the Review section, the vendor Cision is star-rated in three categories: overall, ease-of-use, and customer service. And I remember it received at least 3.5 stars out of 5 in all categories, which gave a decent first impression.
In the Review section, the website also listed all the reviews categorized in overall using experience, pros and cons, alternatives considered, and reasons for selecting the software.
I don’t remember the exact content of the reviews, but after combing through most of them, I formed my opinion of this vendor: a one-stop platform for a majority of PR requirements, reputable in the industry, able to meet any budget, easy to locate content distribution channels and so on.
After reading the reviews of Cision, I completed a report comparing it with a few other PR tool options, based on my findings, for the team’s next-step decision-making.
So that’s the type of review I looked at.
