An Interesting Book

One day, it was time for lunch ①. Mr and Mrs White were already at the table. But where was Tom, their only son? Mr White decided to go and ask Tom to have lunch.

When he went into Tom’s bedroom, he found Tom reading a book while lying on his stomach②on the floor. He told Tom to come to lunch immediately③. So Tom did④. Mr White wondered why Tom was so attracted by⑤ the book, so he decided to have a look at the book .

Now, it was the turn of Mrs White and Tom to wait⑥! After some time, Mrs White asked her son to see what his father was up to⑦. Tom went into his bedroom. To his great surprise, his father was lying on his stomach and reading the book he had just been reading. Mr White had forgotten all about the lunch!

What an interesting book!

这是一篇根据六幅干系图画内容展开的一篇记叙文。

根据所给的题目“有趣的书”，在写作时要紧扣关键词“有趣”，怎么“有趣”？首先要按图画内容以及提示所给的韶光、地点、剖析、弄清人物之间的关系。
然后，结合画题，不雅观察画面，把握它们之间的内在联系，全面网络、精心筛选图中的信息。

本文依据记叙文必备的六大要素，采取讲故事常用的办法，以“one day”开头，阐述了一天中午午饭时发生在怀特师长西席家的一件事。
文章共分为四段，前三段分别用one day, when, now等词语将故事按照发生的韶光顺序很自然地衔接起来。
而且，在这几段中，很恰当地利用了一些惯用句型和固定词组搭配（可参考注释中的解释），精确利用了一些复合句，如状语丛句、定语从句等，措辞丰富。
末了一段用一个感叹句“What an interesting book!”前后呼应， 点明了主题。
